Attention: Attempted fraud!
In the last few days, we have received an increasing number of calls/inquiries from people stating that an alleged employee of our law firm (“Emma Baumann”) has requested a callback, and in some cases “Emma Baumann” has also contacted them by telephone. In some cases, our law firm name “fokus” and, most recently, our e-mail signature are also used.
We would like to point out that these emails do not originate from us, that we do not know a Ms “Emma Baumann” and that this is obviously a scam. Some people have told us that Mrs “Emma Baumann” contacted them via Facebook groups after they had lost money on online crypto exchanges.
IF YOU ARE AFFECTED: DO NOT MAKE ANY PAYMENTS AND DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY PERSONAL DATA. FILE A REPORT WITH THE NEAREST POLICE STATION.
