Austrian Lotteries – Scratchcard lottery (Rubbellos) “1 Jahr Weihnachten”
As reported in the media (see the links below), we are advising in connection with the claiming of the main prize from the scratch card series “1 Year of Christmas” of the year 2023. According to the relevant terms and conditions of Austrian Lotteries for this series, the main prize is won if you find “3 x the banknote symbol [5,000.00]”. Austrian Lotteries is of the opinion that you have to find the three banknote symbols per game. From our point of view – and that of the Commercial Court of Vienna – this cannot be inferred from the terms and conditions of the game. We are of the opinion that the lottery participant has won if (exactly) three banknote symbols are “scratched off” on the ticket, regardless of how these three symbols are distributed between the two games.
